Trades, both traditional (jewellery, carpentry, ironwork), and more institutionalised and modern examples which can be included under the umbrella of “professions” (as is the case for medical professionals) have areas dedicated to them in the ethnological collections of the Museum. Similarly commerce, as an essential tertiary activity, must be included in the exhibitions.
